SAMPLING PROCESS

Nasal swab:

    Insert the swab into the nostril.
    Rotate the swab at least 4 times within 15 seconds to collect nasal discharge.
    Remove the swab and use the swab to collect the sample in the other nostril.

Nasopharyngeal swab:

    Insert the swab into the nostril until it reaches the surface of the posterior nasopharynx.
    Twist and push the swab until resistance is met at the level of the turbinate.
    Rotate the swab several times against the nasopharyngeal wall.

Oropharyngeal swab:

    Insert the swab into the oral cavity without touching the tongue, teeth, cheeks, or palate.
    Rub the swab against the posterior wall for about 10-15 seconds.

SAMPLE EXTRACTION

    Shake the prepackaged extraction tube 2 or 3 times
    Place the swab in the tube and press the absorbent tip of the swab against the tube.

TEST

    Add 2-3 drops of swab effluent to the prepackaged extraction tube in the sample well of the cassette.
    The result will be presented in 15 minutes. Do not interpret results after 30 minutes.

INTERPRETATION OF RESULTS

POSITIVE: Two colored lines appear in the T and C areas.

NEGATIVE: Only one colored line appears in area C.

INVALID: No colored line appears in area C.
